We Teach All Ages and Skill Levels
Music for Young Learners
We want young students to fall in love with music. That often begins with encouragement, fun activities, and age-appropriate teaching methods. Our lessons balance ear training and reading skills to help students feel and understand the music they play. If your child isn’t sure which instrument they want to focus on, we can try out a few options together. As they grow in skill and interest, we introduce fundamentals that serve them no matter what they play. It’s all about building a foundation that supports lifelong musical curiosity.
Adult Students Welcome
Adults take lessons with us for all kinds of reasons. Some want to learn a favorite song or improve their technique. Others are preparing for auditions, performances, or personal milestones. We teach based on your goals; that might mean exploring improvisation, understanding music theory, or simply becoming more comfortable at the piano or guitar. We’ve worked with adult students preparing to play at their church, perform at open mic nights, or attend workshops like the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Lessons are flexible and focused on what matters most to you.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
— Colossians 3:16
Learn the Instrument That Speaks to You
Learning an instrument takes patience, guidance, and a teacher who can adapt their approach. Our instructors do exactly that. Whether you’re practicing scales, building complex arrangements, or working on songwriting, we guide you through each step. From complete beginners to musicians preparing for competitions or college programs, we tailor every lesson. Musical expression, proper technique, and even creative experimentation are part of the journey. The path is different for everyone, but our goal is always to help you make real progress.
Piano and Strings Instruction
We provide private piano lessons that cover everything from basic note reading to advanced performance. Many students love the flexibility of piano; it works well for learning melodies, harmonies, and even composing. We also teach violin and other string instruments, with attention to posture, tone development, and musical phrasing. Our students become comfortable with solo pieces as well as duets and ensemble material.
Guitar and Singing Lessons
Guitar and voice are both deeply personal instruments. Whether you want to strum along to your favorite songs or work on vocal control and performance, we adjust to your experience and goals. We help guitar students improve their fingerstyle, rhythm, and chord knowledge. Voice students focus on breath support, pitch, and emotional expression. We also work with singer-songwriters who want to strengthen both skills at once.
Percussion, Saxophone, and More
Students drawn to rhythm and sound texture often gravitate toward percussion or wind instruments. Drum students practice timing and coordination with real-world applications. For saxophone and other winds, we teach embouchure, scales, and technique alongside stylistic interpretation. Our instructors encourage experimentation within the style you love, whether that’s jazz, classical, or contemporary music.

What to Know Before You Sign Up
Who Are the Instructors?
Every instructor we send to your home has been thoroughly interviewed, vetted, and background-checked. Many hold music degrees and perform regularly in the Nashville and Franklin communities. Beyond their credentials, we look for teachers who connect well with students and create a positive, encouraging environment.
Are Recitals a Requirement?
They are not. Recitals are optional and designed to be supportive, not stressful. We host them twice each year and invite family and friends to come celebrate the students’ progress. If you enjoy performing, it’s a great opportunity. But if you prefer private lessons without the spotlight, that’s perfectly fine.
Is There a Way to Connect With Other Students?
Yes. We offer small group music classes through our partnership with Vine Christian Academy, a homeschool co-op near Franklin. These classes give students a chance to learn in a group setting, make music with others, and discover new styles together. Topics and class types vary throughout the year.
Are Beginners and Advanced Students Both Accepted?
Absolutely. Our teaching approach changes depending on the student. Beginners get the fundamentals with lots of support, while advanced students explore more technical or artistic challenges. Whatever your level, our instructors meet you there.
Will I Learn More Than One Style of Music?
Of course. From worship and classical to pop, folk, or jazz, we support a wide range of musical interests. Your teacher will work with you to build a repertoire that keeps you engaged and motivated. Whether you’re reading sheet music or learning by ear, we focus on music you enjoy.
