Lessons for Every Age and Skill Level
Children and Teens
We work with kids as young as five, helping them explore music in a way that feels creative and exciting. Lessons focus on basic technique, developing a musical ear, and building early confidence. If your child doesn’t know which instrument they want to pursue, we can guide them through a few different options to find the right fit. Over time, we introduce note reading, rhythm patterns, and essential music theory in ways that keep kids engaged and motivated. Every lesson is adapted to your child’s interests and age.
Adults at Any Stage
It’s never too late to return to music or start fresh. We regularly work with adults from early career through retirement. Some want to learn a few songs for fun. Others are preparing for an upcoming performance, church service, or music program. Whether you’re practicing sight reading, writing original music, or strengthening your skills for a group you already play in, our instructors build your lessons around your goals. We’ve helped adults get ready for events like the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, join their worship teams, and compose their own songs.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
— Colossians 3:16
Build Toward Musical Fluency and Creativity
Everyone’s version of “advanced” looks a little different. Some students want to perform. Others want to compose or improvise. Whatever your path, we focus on both the technical and creative sides of music. Lessons can include scales and warmups, harmony and ear training, songwriting, performance prep, or even digital music tools. We work with beginners and experienced musicians alike.
Piano and Guitar
Piano and guitar offer great entry points for music students, but they can also lead to years of creative growth. Our piano students learn everything from traditional repertoire to pop and jazz pieces. Guitar students explore acoustic and electric styles, picking techniques, and how to accompany vocals. We help you develop both comfort and style in your playing.
Voice and Strings
Whether you’re a beginner learning to match pitch or an experienced singer polishing your stage presence, voice lessons build both confidence and control. We also offer instruction in violin and other string instruments, focusing on musical expression, tone, and posture. Students can learn solo pieces, duets, or ensemble repertoire depending on their interests.
Percussion, Sax, and More
For students who enjoy rhythm or expressive phrasing, we offer instruction in drums, saxophone, and other woodwind instruments. Drum lessons cover timekeeping, fills, and technique. Saxophone and woodwinds include breath support, tone quality, and improvisation or classical reading depending on your style. Let us know what you’re excited about, and we’ll help shape your learning path.
Curious About Another Instrument?

We Often Receive These Questions
Who Are the Teachers Coming Into My Home?
Every instructor we send out has been fully background-checked and personally interviewed. We select teachers based not only on musical skill, but also on their ability to communicate clearly, adapt to students of different ages, and create a positive atmosphere. Many have advanced music degrees and experience performing in and around Nashville.
What If I Don’t Want to Perform in Front of People?
You don’t have to. Our recitals are completely optional and designed to be encouraging. They’re held twice a year and provide a chance to celebrate progress. Students who enjoy performing love the opportunity, while those who prefer to learn privately can skip it with no pressure at all.
Are There Group Options or Just Private Lessons?
In addition to private instruction, we also offer group classes through Vine Christian Academy in Williamson County. These are geared toward homeschool families and allow students to learn music in a small group format. Class offerings change each semester.
Can I Focus on the Style of Music I Like Most?
Definitely. We don’t limit students to one genre. You can learn pop, worship, jazz, folk, or classical. Really, whatever inspires you. During our consultation, we’ll ask about your preferences so we can tailor lessons accordingly.
Do You Travel Throughout Columbia?
Yes. We serve Columbia and surrounding areas including Spring Hill, Theta, and parts of Maury County. If you’re not sure whether we teach in your neighborhood, just ask. We’ll be happy to check.
